Unlike Book 1, where I tried to give each chapter its own playlist, I trimmed down the number of playlists to six. As stated in Part 1, this was because A Prison of Flesh did far less jet-setting. In fact, except for the first two chapters, large portions of the story are spread across multiple chapters. The first two lists here cover major portions of the story.
Comments for On the Sea:
This list is pulled together from tracks that, for one reason or another, embody sea travel to me, even if on a simple level (like the name refers to something sea-like). In the case of the Voivod tracks, only "The Prow" fits this, but the other songs are similar enough in style that I added them as support. Mastodon fans recognize the inclusion of a large portion of the "Leviathan" album, which is based on the book Moby Dick. I was able to resist adding Enya's "Orinoco Flow."

Due to the sullen, almost horror-like nature of this sequence in the story, I went with darker industrial and ambiance tracks. There is a horror undercurrent that I felt was well-represented by the bleak brutality of Obituary and Godflesh.

Unlike the opening playlist, the revisit to Chancel is a wider-ranging list, with moments of excitement (Faith No More, Deftones) mixed with downturns in mood (like the Nirvana and Grotus tracks).
